Billed
as a political satire for the digital age, this dark comedy
written by award winning author Steve Tesich is given an airing by
Wide-Awake Theatre Company.
The
work is well acted and directed, Huda Bordeaux as Dianne and Ethan
Parry playing Adam certainly play their parts with verve, the set,
with the use of projected backdrops work very well, but, and I'm
afraid it was a massive but, I hated it. The characters, Adam
soooo smug and always-dressed in white, I wanted to smear with
oil, but as for Dianne... words fail me. Hanging would be too good
for her.
I
appreciate this is how they were written, but why choose such a
piece to perform. Sorry, guys I do applaud your efforts, but could
I have the hour of my life back please?
