This
is in essence a series of short sketches exploring the like and
works of artist Lucian Freud with the six strong cast playing
Freud, Francis Bacon and a succession of models, clients and
family members.
The
scenes are short and snappy, on often too so, and I'm not too sure
what is trying to be put over by the production.
The
play is often camp, occasionally overacted, and the writing less
than clear at times and although the performers try hard I'm not
sure that any message comes across.
