In
this action filled play, written and performed by Sue Turner-Cray,
we meet, Sara, an aspiring model from Leicester and follow her on
the trials and tribulations of her journey initially to Manchester
and then to Japan.
Ms
Turner-Cray leaves nothing out, the fame and adulation, the
seedier side of sex and drugs and the dieting pressure put onto
young girls to fit the industry mould.
She
has based this play on her personal experiences as she was in that
position for 5 years. She is writing from her soul.
Sara,
prowls around her set, never still for more than a moment, playing
the other characters in the story with a clarity, one can almost
see them and the pace never flagged for one second in this fine
piece of early evening drama.
