Greenstick Boy

The girl M is packing up her life after her soul mate D's mums funeral. As she packs she tries to write a letter to him. He was never her Boyfriend only her boy-friend, unable to put her thoughts on paper she speaks them out loud. No matter she wouldn’t know where to send it to.

Written and performed by Maggie Cronin, she relates the story of two young people and those round them up until the point M realises D really was her soul mate but she just couldn’t see it till it was too late. She builds up her characters giving us a little glimpse of each until the final twist is revealed.

This is almost a little maudlin and although contains a few laughs left me a little down. Well written, nicely acted and obviously directed with a lot of thought put in to details.
