The Nothinglefttolose is a theatrical
experience rather than a play with a traditional structure. Two men,
names unknown, meet, break up, come together, have childhood
flashbacks and become involved in chase sequences.
Dialogue is minimal and from a technical
point of view it was not easy hearing the words in the large space
of the venue. However, the large open space favours the blend of
atmospheric music, physical action, lighting and the novel use of
video.
The play ends with a rock and roll song
seemingly questioning our existence. This French production is
highly surreal, the imagery powerful and a challenge to fully
understand.
