Excuse My Dust

The last time I saw Lesley Mackie I was crewing at the Whitehall Theatre in Dundee for her very popular tour with the show "Judy".  The show in which Lesley portrayed the Iconic Judy Garland.

Once more Lesley is performing as one of the legendary 20th century American females Dorothy Parker. Mrs Parker was a critic, poet, screenplay and short story writer. Probably best known for the quote "Men never make passes at women with glasses!"

With a full bedroom set Lesley takes us on a journey through the life of Mrs Parker as a reflection of her past, through the eyes of her personal mid-life crisis. Lesley has the knack of portraying troubled women sensitively and with great dignity.

I was attracted to this show to see Lesley perform again and mistakenly because of her last show I expected to hear her sing.  However it was a pleasure to watch this talented actress escort us through the latter lonely times of one of New York's Most Celebrated Party Guest.
