Would You Like A Cup Of Tea?
Would you like a cup of tea? No thank you!
Personally I don’t drink tea and belatedly I wonder if this was a premonition or warning not to see this show.
Written and performed by Liz Carter, Louise Geater, Helena Lloyd and Jonathan Scratchley who together are Semantics Playground.
Their after show handout states: would you like a cup of tea or would you like to:
confront your thoughts about lifetime, traditions corruption and the expectations you have of others?
Look behind the mask of family life?
Question the makeup of your individuality?
Until the moment of writing this review I was almost disgusted by things I saw during the show, all be it cleverly presented.  I now think I see the reaction they were trying to get. I still didn’t like it but to be fair they seem to have completed what they set out to do.
