Blogging, where one writes a somewhat personal
account of their life and posts it on the internet, is one of the most
popular themes of Fringe 2006.
Connected
Theatre Company have taken a number of real blogs, changed the names to
protect the real bloggers, and turned it into an hours entertainment.
Lizzie
Conrad, Isla Carter, Karen Cooper, Jonathan Roberts and Matthew Conway
play the many characters that in stages reveal their lives to readers,
and now to a live theatre audience.
The
scenes are short and snappy, well staged, written and directed and fully
held the attention for the show's duration.
I
have never before got involved in blogging, either reading or writing
one, however having seen this production it has given me the urge to at
least investigate further.
This
is a good way to spend an afternoon hour whiling away the time in other
peoples lives.
