The Whore's Tale
Quadrangle Theatre
The Whores tale, co-written by the performer Catherine Kirk is in essence  history of the oldest profession that of the harlot, tart, prostitute or whore.
The set consisted of what was basically a heart shaped bed together with a few tools of her trade, and Ms Kirk herself suitably attired for the role she was creating.
We learn that her profession was originally plied by priestesses, Greek goddesses, actresses before evolving to the modern day version. With each episode Ms Kirk tells us the tale with a wide variety accents and characteristics demonstrating her undoubted abilities
It is a very clever and interesting piece of theatre, but I feel it would probably have been suited better to a later time slot.
