Weekend Break is written
and directed by Jon Johanson, who also stars in this powerful
piece of theatre. Jon, playing top musician, Jonathan Taylor, has
arranged to meet up with his Oscar winning film star wife,
Samantha Rose, played by Emma Chamberlain, at a secluded cottage.
The pair, due to work commitments, have been apart for a while and
both go into the weekend with different agendas.
It
appears that all is not right with their relationship, and as the
play develops, maybe there were always problems, as the skilful
writing and excellent acting take the audience through a whole
gambit of emotions.
The
rights to this play have been acquired, and a film version is
currently in development with major names being talked about for
the roles currently played by Mr Johanson and Ms Chamberlain, so
you never know who may be sitting beside you in the audience.
This
