Shakespeare for Breakfast
C
C Theatre troupe have been performing this titled show for .... a long time, each year different, but always loosely based around the works of the of the Bard.
This years offering is Mac..oops The Scottish Play - The Panto and although it is early in the Fringe, both in days and most certainly in hour, this intrepid quintet certainly give their all.
There are as one would expect all sorts of liberties taken with the original material, there are songs, dance, role reversal, anachronistic props, every device that has ever been used in Panto, but somehow, mostly due to the enthusiasm and talent of the cast, it all blends into an hour of excellent early morning entertainment.
So be prepared to shout out 'He's behind you', 'Oh no it isn't, Oh yes it is' et al and of course the obligatory audience participation of the song sheet as Lewis Burfoot, Hannah Kimpton, Fraser McPhie, Dan Muirden and Andi Oshi give you your wake-up call.
Oh and there's the added bonus of coffee and croissants included in the price of the ticket.
