Sexual Perversity in Chicago
DarkLight Entertainment
Following a successful revival in recent times David Mamet's Sexual Perversity in Chicago is given an outing by this new company.
This version is somewhat abridged from the original, but it still has a lot of the original qualities. This show is well acted and directed and even allowing for the less than ideal acting space, very little action is lost.
Al Smith as Danny and Oliver Bevan as Bernie, together with Samantha Holcroft and Beth Humphreys as Deborah and Joan all do justice to their respective characters, although, for me none are particularly likeable.
This show is doing good business and it can easily be seen why. The show oozes professionalism.  The company are planning to do performances in the USA, so you never know, there could be future superstars on show here.
