I
have always admired those actors who can perform monologues and MyAnna
Buring is definitely at the top end of this category.
Picture
the scene it is your wedding day, you are the bride and you have
last minute nerves, you have arrived at the church so what do you
do? Well hide in the wardrobe of coarse. Where you ponder over the
past, the minister, your best pal, your mum and the groom.
In
her ponderings she tells her imaginary audience how her mind
wanders off occasionally, which explains how the minister changes
from one of God to Demonology, her best friend in to a drunken
bitch and her mum……. No! Go and see the show.
It
is well performed and the occasional voice attempting to get in
adds extra humor. For such a small cramped area her movement is
kept within the bounds of possibility. Lighting effects add
ambiance and aid to the atmosphere. This is a one woman show I
would recommend you try to get to see.
