Bongani Bihebhe, Kim Hardy, Duncan
Roberts, Tara Rutter, Ellie Walsh and Oliver Whyte come together
to show Edinburgh Fringe audiences various ways in which we are
‘Losing Control’.
Through a series of monologues, movement,
musical interludes and sketches this young cast take us through
many aspects of modern day living and open our eyes to ways in
which we think we are in control but are we? Time, the television,
telephones, work, form filling and many other subjects are covered
right up to everyone’s favourite pastime of queuing for
shopping. Although
both Chrissie Kiff and Hilary Kiff who also directed the piece
wrote the show for them, the performers added their own material
and composed the accompaniment to Telephone Blues.
Many of the performers have already been
through the experience of performing on the Fringe in ‘A
Midsummer’s Night Rock!’
Their
talents are obvious all they lack are good audiences to support
them and enjoy their work. As most of them intend to try and stay
in the performing arts and make it their full time careers I wish
them all the best and look out to seeing them in other shows on TV
or as pop stars in the future.
