Edgar Lee Master's Spoon River Anthology
American High School Theatre Festival
The Agoura Players of Southern California present Edgar Lee Masters' "Spoon River Anthology" I hadn’t heard of this show so it was a completely unknown quantity,
The inhabitants of the Spoon River cemetery rise and tell their life stories through monologues, dialogue, poetry and song. Cleverly directed and well performed it was interesting to watch. Although I prefer not to single anyone out for praise but I felt one person shone in her performance Alysse Alcroft acted and sang beautifully, Everyone else did well but I felt she had a little more.
This is an interesting show and well worth seeing.
