The
darker side of the story with some new and innovative slants.
Possibly
a little scary for younger children yet only one had a little
tantrum when I was in. The parents seemed totally engaged and the
children watched closely too.
Part
of the most interesting thing about the show is the use of five
performers to play 13 characters especially the 7 dwarfs.
Did I say dwarfs, meet Snow White and the Troll's!
Angela
Bleasdale, Frances
Buckroyd, Laura Glover, Alyssa Kyria and Judith Quinn are cleverly
directed through the tale by Chris Sudworth.
The set design by Lydia Hardiman could be utilized by
several shows I can think of. Along with Model designer Anika
Knittel, composer Nicholas Kingman and lighting designer Phil
Bentley create a show which can be enjoyed at several levels
across the board.
C
Theatre also present Shakespeare
for Breakfast and Red Riding Hood and the Wolves
