Take
an inept bunch of pirates, a melancholy Mermaid and a tyrannical
piratical inspector drop them into the same ocean and watch the
fun!
Ignatius
Trail is a pirate not as I thought the quest the pirates go on to
pass inspection. He is sailing on the good ship {Yellow
Daisy?????} with his friends and companions. On his 18th birthday
the infamous terrifying Miss Cecelia Salt piratical inspector
arrives. Miss don’t call me C. Salt, takes a dislike to the
whole crew but to Ignatius in particular and tricks the others in
to making him walk the plank.
Clinging to a floating plank of water
Ignatius meets the mermaid, each asks why the other is crying and
they exchange histories. The Mermaid encourages him to take the
test of the four perils, which if he passes will make him a
certificated pirate. Only Blackbeard before him had passed and has
gone down as the most feared and successful pirate in history.
Meanwhile
his old crew is growing more piratical and bloodthirsty day by
day.
Will
Ignatius pass his trials and live, if so, will he find his old
friends and crewmates, will the inspector get her just deserts and
will the mermaid find someone to love her?
A
beautifully performed show with sea shanties, love songs,
bloodthirsty fighting and a happy ending?????
