The company Tall Stories have been Fringe
regulars for some time producing quality kids shows. Monster Hits is
aimed at those aged 3 years +.
William (Paul Curley) is a normal boy he
loves nothing more than being active all the time and making noise,
lots and lots of noise! Mum and dad have had enough they are going
away for the weekend sending William to stay with his Grandpa
(Thomas Warwick). Grandpa lives on his own in a narrow tall house
and William’s room is at the very top in the attic, a bare room
with a bed, a cupboard and no toys. How will he survive? Then he
makes noise and meets purple monster! Monster tells William that
there is only one monster for each child in the world and that that
monster is for life. Why then does green monster appear claiming
William as her child?
Confused? You won't be if you go to see this
good fun show. Two narrators David Garrud and Sarah Goddard guide us
through the story.
This production is well-written full of
interesting things and plenty of action we are encouraged to join in
and most of the adults left singing one of the songs from the show.
This show is a Monster hit with me.
