Maud
(Lesley Cook) lives with her parents in a dark cottage, rising at 6
for breakfast, working all day to make toys, eating and sleeping.
She is getting weary of all this and has forgotten how to be a
child. One night she writes a sign "Help Wanted".
Next
morning she finds Frieda (Caroline Garland) asleep in her room.
Together they explore the cottage next door, the huge house over the
field and discover what monster wakes Maud every night.
Simply
yet cleverly written so that it has a motto to impart to the
audience. The performers are totally believable in characterisation
and the audience followed every move, most seemed to get immersed in
the story.
Tall
Stories have another show in the same venue "Monster Hits"
for a younger audience.
