Last few days of the Fringe and many
shows are selling out but there are other excellent shows out
there to be seen, including some which have just arrived in week
three. A photograph has just been added to the Drama
Queen review.

The actor Tom Conti was seen in the
Gilded Balloon Teviot waiting to meet talented daughter Nina, whos
fringe show Nina Conti
& Micky Flanagan is selling out daily so if you want a
ticket get one soon, if there are any left! David Dickinson
was still on the royal mile with a camera crew. Play write
and actor Owen O'Neill (12
Angry Men) recommends 'Hurricane' Assembly Rooms Edinburgh
Suite 21-25 until the 25th as one of the shows to see. Mika
Haka is still wowing audiences at the George Square Theatre,

We spotted celebrity David Dickinson on a
Bargain Hunt for Fringe shows on the Royal Mile. We trust he found
some as 'cheap as chips'.

Aled Jones was spotted on the royal mile
with a camera crew today. We have had an e-mail from Lea Harris
who sent us some reviews last year, 'thought
I'd send you my review of Abomination. Like you I too had a tear
in my eye at the end, it struck so many chords'. For the review
follow the link to Abomination.

Firstly I must say sorry to Victoria
Lewis from Performance
how I got her name wrong I don't know apart from the fact it was
2am when the review went up.
So far two of the must see shows are Cheek
and Mika
Haka these are to be seen to be
believed. Sadly It's
Ranney is cancelled we
only found this out today.
Bill Bearford sent us
this comment thanks Bill.
Saw
this at Pleasance Dome, anyone who likes musicals will enjoy this
show.
An excellent cast all good quality singers/actors bring Stephen
Schwartz's excellent music and lyrics to the fringe.
This show deserves to sell out during its time here.

It is really beginning to get busy now
with all venues up and running tomorrow Monday. Things haven't
settled down yet with some shows still running up to 1/2 an hour
late, still its all part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Another busy day and it will get worse before it
gets better. we have even started to meet old friends Ian Kendall
(ex Kendall Mitch Cake) whose theory of gravity is for me very
much part of the fringe, and John Tobias who we met through 'Martian
Guerre' and is now part of kids TV. We look forward to meeting
others as we go along.

Another nice day weather wise allowing
performers to get out and about leafleting
and performing excerpts on the Royal Mile. Almost all the venues
are up and running now and it feels as though we might be visiting
most of them before we are finished.

With the first few press
launches today and some of the venues up and running the Fringe
2003 has all but officially started. The weather hasn't been
too bad and the shows are all showing great promise. Our
first official flyer was for 'Bloody Poetry' Cambridge University
ADC performing at C Venue 34 Chambers Street at 11-30 am.

we have only got three shows published but we are working on it as
we speak. It was great seeing some of last years performers and
the Fringe Press Office have done a great job so far. Thanks also
to the Underbelly and C Venues. Follow the links to;

24 hours before the first performance
2003 everything seems to be under control at this end but time
will tell.
It was strange wandering past the venues yesterday
as they were all looking like building sites the hard work put in
before the Festival and after I feel is not always appreciated and
our heart felt thanks go out to all those involved. See you all
soon.

24 July 2003
Geoff, newcomer David and myself (Sheila)
are all working hard on planning our Edinburgh Fringe Festival
viewing 2003. The site is being updated daily now and details if
the shows we are hoping to see along with companies dates and
times are being put up in each section. Show names and links
will appear here as we see the shows. Although we hope to see
these shows it is dependent on companies allowing us in, we will
keep you updated.
We look forward to your E-Mails and
reviews as well as recommendations. Have a great fringe and we
look forward to seeing you all in Edinburgh, whether as performer,
worker audience-members or fellow reviewers.
Sheila
