Just Married is essentially a teen comedy, where the leads are…just married! This differs slightly from other teen comedies by starting at the marriage, whilst other films use the marriage as their conclusion. Everything smells of roses until the newlyweds take a jinxed honeymoon to Europe, and the marriage begins to fall apart.

Ashton Kutcher plays Tom, the everyday Joe who wins the heart of the pretty rich girl. Kutcher gives a decent comic performance, executing both the occasional one-liner, and the slapstick with good effect.

Brittany Murphy, seen alongside Eminem in 8 Mile, plays Sarah, the pretty rich girl with the disapproving family. She too gives a decent comic performance, and brings a whole 'kooky' nature to her character.

The real-life couple of Kutcher and Murphy ensure that there is chemistry on-screen, and that makes the somewhat two-dimensional characters work when placed alongside one another.

Whilst not being a comedy masterpiece and not requiring a great deal of thought to watch it, the film isn't too bad and is an enjoyable waste of an hour and a half.
