What
can I say about this hilarious Scottish comedian Craig Hill that we have
not previously said in one way or another?
There
is one other thing that makes him unique apart from his bovver boots,
leather kilts, striped t-shirts and Scottish camp comedy, that is the
fact that I have seen the show ‘Kilty Pleasures’ twice in a row.
Okay there was six months in-between shows but they were basically the
same material, however thanks to different venues and very different
audiences they were two totally unique shows.
Craig
can now claim hat he has played and totally captivated a packed audience
at The Carnegie Hall, all be it The Carnegie Hall Dunfermline. We were
under his spell from the moment of his entrance, a dance routine to
Madonna’s ‘Hung Up’. The first part of the show was ¾ of an hour
long but the second part lasted over an hour. His first gift was another
Craig, from Cow‘n’beef not far from Bacon‘n’eggs and his partner
Kerry they both now live in Cardenden.
In the second session Craig explored a woman’s handbag and
displayed the content, with her permission, then went on to telephone
one of her friends. Craig enjoyed the show so much he just did not seem
to want it to end. Neither did we.
Two
very minor complaints about the show, one: it wasn’t long enough and
two: he didn’t sing much.
The
more I see Craig the more I like his presentation, his humour and the
man himself. I am also looking forward to seeing his new show to be
presented at the up-coming Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007, “Makin’ A
Big Song &Dance” on from the 2nd to the 27th
August at the Assembly Universal Arts @ Freemason’s Hall Venue 7,
20.40 most nights for one hour.
Every
little thing that you say or do
I'm hung up, I'm hung up on you
Waiting for your show, Craigy, night and day
I'm fed up, I'm tired of waiting on you
