Mikey The Pikey
Born under a skip in a dark alleyway Mikey has little or no hope in life. With various younger siblings all of different parentage he can be seen as one of life’s losers. Living in one of the massive sink estates, with nowhere to go and nothing to do but hangout with mates and get stoned and pissed.
The one ambition in his life is to go out with posh Angela but she never even looks his way. Not content with his mates Baz and Steve or the one girl on the estate who is in love with him Itchy, he attempts to study for a GNVQ in Business.
To see Mikey's adventures and those of his mates take time out to see 'Mikey the Pikey' Pleasance Queendome daily.
This show is very cleverly thought out, well written covering a wide variety of musical styles, nicely choreographed and extremely well performed.  It is also the sort of show I could watch again and again and have the soundtrack on the tape in the car.
Was I imagining but did we have an immaculate conception followed by a virgin birth witnessed by three wise men???
