We
all know men are from Mars and women are from Venus, well these
two performers go on to demonstrate this. As for the chocolate
cake? What do we women reach for when we have a problem n our
relationships? Yes
you guessed it whether we are on a diet or not it's the cake!
The
show consists of the two ladies discussing the ups and downs of
relationships punctuated by musical numbers. For each
failed, or disastrous encounter chocolate cake was consumed.
Emma Finlay as Jo and Airlie
Scott as Tilly with Spencer James providing the music, all of whom
have fairly impressive CV’s.
The musical numbers were all
beautifully sung but I felt some of the links were tenuous at
least. What could for me have been a superb hours entertainment
with two really good singers, ended up as a so, so cabaret.
