 This year NPLS Spectrum
Youth Theatre Company present ‘Food 4 Thought’, for the first
time they are producing a musical revue show which is entirely
self-written. Their past four productions also created for the
company have been more of a story, whereas this production is a
series of sketches and songs with food as the linking theme.
Starting with a musical
number we moved on to a sketch about a cereal killer where the
suspect was at present in custard-e. With songs covering ‘Miss
Consumer’, ‘Fat Chance’ a health philosophy, ‘Get a
takeaway’, ‘Cookin all over TV’ and finally ‘Food 4
Thought’. One of the best sketches was ‘Midnight Feast’ with
modernus-manus and domesticus-womanus.
A nice change for the
company and an extremely enjoyable show.
