The
Roosevelt Theatre Ensemble present 'To Darn Hot' a medley of selected
songs from the early days of Broadways musical theatre.
With
a cast of about or over 30, there were times it was obvious this show had
been rehearsed on a much larger stage, and judging from the pre show
excerpts performed in the street they were missing the extra space.
The enthusiasm and effort displayed on stage helped with the lack
of space. The numbers were all full of energy and the kids seem to be
having a great time, this was reflected by the enjoyment of the
audience.
Only
an American High School group could get away with performing ‘Scotland
the Brave’ in an acappella fashion, but they did and did well.
