This
new musical 'An Asylum on Every Corner' works on several levels. It is
cleverly written, simply yet effectively set, with pleasant and varied
music. No large show
stopping numbers or dancing girls just a pleasant story and a happy
ending.
The
small yet extremely talented cast sing and act their hearts out. The
problems of small venues also have their advantages you are so close to
the action and are able to hear each individual’s voice. The live
piano is far enough away from the acting area not to overpower the
performers yet loud enough for their advantage.
The
cast is Simone Craddock, Jane Lesley. Kristopher Milnes, Sonya Raymond,
Jack Reid, Felicity Russell, Peter Saracen and Jody Tranter.
