Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down
National Student Theatre Company supported by the Really Useful Theatre Company
For a number of years now I have been enjoying the shows that are produced by the National Student Theatre Company who consistently turn in high quality performances of musicals which are not so widely known.
They certainly maintain their reputation with this version of Three Guys naked from the Waist Down by Jerry Colker and Michael Rupert.
This three hander, set in the world of American Comedy , tracks Ted Klausterman, Kenny Brewster and Phil Kunin, three comedians with vastly differing style, but each with the same goal, that of fame and recognition.
From a somewhat explosive first meeting these three, splendidly portrayed by Edward Harrison, Pete Howe and Richard Michael-Morse unite in a somewhat unlikely alliance and commence their journey to stardom.
The show is both funny and sad, punctuated with excellent songs and some inventive choreography. Backed by a tight band under the direction of Hannah Peel all parts add up to a thoroughly enjoyable and professional evenings entertainment.
