Stack
(Jon-Michael Miller) is a writer of cookie fortunes but his luck
is out to lunch! He wants to write more, things that might
actually happen. After being sacked from his job by Dr Zheng
(James Kim) he goes to seek wisdom from his Guru, Lotus (David
Hyman) who advises him to write happy fortunes about love.
Coincidentally he meets the love of his life Fortune (Emily
Abrams) on his way. Mix in a little Welsh mafia action and
you have the new Musical "Fortune Cookie Man"
Other
performers in the show are Justin Ahn, Lauren Schaffel, Michael
Kerpack, Robert Allen, Jenny Werner, Kate Pynoos and Lisa Bass.
They have a large cavernous space in which to perform and they use
it well, most of the cast have very good voices.
The
book, music and lyrics are written by Adam Cochran who, as well as
playing bass guitar in the band, performing the title role in "Watson"
and has roles on both "The
Mikado: County U.S.A." and "L.A. Comedies"
