Fame is the new religion. If you are not on television well, do you really exist? These are two statements on the publicity material of this award winning new musical by Mark Sims and Paul Tibbey.
This musical charts the rise and fall of four characters, veteran Richie King portrayed by Craig Kerrigan, the lynch pin of Family entertainment, his wife and assistant Tamara Purchace, Claire Jeater and the new kids on the block Charlie Conrad played by Jody Crosier and 'Big Brother Runner Up' Daisy Craddock portrayed by Sarah Coppen.
Fading ratings, rising reality TV popularity sees the frankly awful Daisy added to the ailing 'Show' as Daisy and Charlie’s careers are in the ascendance at the expense of initially Tamara, and the eventual downfall of Richie.
Down, but can they be kept down, and how long will it be until even newer kids on the block rise to the surface? To find this out and to see four very talented actors, and listen to some very good songs, check out this fast paced, fun packed new musical and I paraphrase the posters again, Snap up a ticket now rather than when it hits the West End.
