I
couldn’t say how long I’ve been looking forward to seeing B A
Robertson perform live. Ok so I had a bit of a crush on him when
he was in the charts (dating both him and me).
So
I was ecstatic to see that he was appearing live during the
Fringe. When you have waited to see someone as long as that the
reality can often be a disappointment but definitely NOT in this
case. He was as good if not better than I'd imagined, his
repertoire is wide and varied and he managed to get in probably
his best known three songs "Bang Bang", "the Living
Years" and "Cool and the Kaftan", as well as many
he has written but are associated with other performers. Time
restrictions and getting carried away with the chat in between
times prevented a vast number of his creations being performed.
Oh
by the way he did manage to fit in "I dreamed a dream"!
Superb
show by a fantastically talented man and yes he is still full of
sex appeal!
