Kate Robbins -  Songs From The Pool

I suppose the most difficult thing to do when talking about Kate Robbins and that is to categorise her.

She’s a song writer, a singer an actress a mimic and a thoroughly nice person to boot.

For this year’s offering Kate is supported by a backing band Davido on drums, Jenny on cello Peter on keyboards and her sister Emma on backing vocals as this multi-talented entertainer has her packed house enthralled for the hour of her show.

Songs from the Pool is about music from her native Liverpool and as well as a few of her own, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Beatles and cousin Paul McCartney numbers are featured as well as a up tempo version of her major hit ‘More than in Love’

In between these numbers a potted history of her life liberally peppered with anecdotes and impressions make the time evaporate in what seems like seconds.
