This 5 piece band play rocked up folk
extracting riffs from various traditions and powering it out with an
Aussie attitude. With drums and bass guitar providing a driving
beat, layers of sound are built up with electric mandolin, guitars,
accordion and harmonica. Their sound is very tight.
My particular favourites were the final 2
songs. ‘Shadows’ started with a simple guitar solo, built up to
a peak and ended with the single guitar. Their finale was a drinking
song. They encouraged the audience to join in the chorus and sing
‘loud and dirty’.
Fast, frenzied and great fun.
