What is bout the Irish that turns out amazing stand ups? Tommy Tiernan, Ed Byrrne, Jason Byrrne and of course the big man himself Dara O'Briain.

I have been watching the others for years and it was only last year that I first saw Mr O'Briain and kicked myself for wasted opportunities.

I am pleased to say he is back again this year playing to a packed out Music Hall, and to a wide variety of ages, races and creeds, all united in the fact that they appreciate the big man with the huge talent.

He controls the room like the consummate professional he is reacting with his audience, telling stories and cracking gags on a whole variety of subjects, a lot around the answers given to questions posed to the audience en masse.

I'm sure Dara is too famous to be nominated for the Perrier Awards, which is a pity, but if you want a stand out stand-up then he is a hard act to beat.
