Paul
Tonkinson discusses his recent journeys to entertain the troups in
Cosovo and Iraque, hence 'War '.
It
was difficult for me to see how he could produce an upbeat show of
these experiences but he does. The facts that the situations are
so tense the men crave a sense of normality and some laughter.
It
seems that almost anything goes and despite the briefings to the
contrary (no gags about Americans or officers) these were the
subjects which went down best.
It
wasn’t just the gigs he was telling us about even getting out
there was an adventure or disaster depending on how you look at
it.
Very
entertaining and funny despite the subject matter.
