The
Gavin sisters, Sharon and Loretta, have been performing to sell-out
houses for the last year or two and I was looking forward to
seeing their new show Funny Bones.
The
girls, it appears are subject of a documentary, and we are treated
to excerpts of 'what the viewers will see'. This obviously gives
the girls a chance to showcase their undoubted comic talents using
themselves and other characters in their lives.
A
fair bit of the material was self-depreciating and I'm not totally
convinced it was as strong as it might have been.
I
don't know if the pun was intended in titling the show Funny
Bones. The medical name for the funny bone is of course the humerus, and that is how I'd rate this show, humorous, not
hilarious.
