Flopstar,
written and composed by Peter Greenwall is a work in progress that
is developing at the Fringe this year.
This
three hander features Maurice, a record executive, played by Paul
Harper Swan, an aspiring pop star Larry, William Lester and his
shrink Lucy, Hannah Block.
Larry
wants a career, but on his own terms, Maurice needs a star, and
they are forced to work together. As a fall back Maurice is in
cahoots with Lucy to get lyrics for his own career by reading file
notes she has taken during the sessions she has had with Larry.
Where
will it end? You'll have to find out for yourselves.
All
three performers have excellent singing voices and most of the
music is really catchy and enjoyable.
This certainly is no Flop,
rather in the early stage in it's career, Get a ticket now, they
could be like gold dust later.
