To
be invited into someone’s personal life can be daunting, but to
invite a room full of strangers into your own life night after
night must be scary. Especially if you are a recovering alcoholic
with the eating disorder bulimia, Clare Nicholls dos just that.
The
show s as times extremely funny yet slightly shocking but at the
end when she confessed to have been sharing her own experiences
with you, I felt embarrassed to have been laughing during the
show.
To
have the courage to do a one woman show as a character is one
thing but to totally expose oneself is another and I applaud Clare
for having the courage to do so.
A
funny yet thought provoking piece of theatre.
