Mick Ferry is one of life’s losers.  Having never won anything in his life he’s come up with the perfect way to come out on top.  Hold a comedy final in which he is the only entrant.  As he says, it’s not high concept.

3 judges are picked from the audience and have to judge each version of Ferry as they appear: Mick Ferry 1 who talks a bit about his life; Mick Ferry 2 who delivers some observational stuff; Mick Ferry 3 babbles on about his dog and Mick Ferry 4 who wants to be topical, finds it all a bit boring and instead extols the virtues of the Take A Break ‘Top Tips’ section.  Finally we reach Mick Ferry 5 who is frankly, just a little bit filthy.

The show had its peaks, but it also had its troughs.  Whilst I enjoyed some of the guises, others just left me cold.  I found my mind wandering during the dog stuff (and I quite like dogs) and I was repulsed rather than entertained by Mick Ferry 5.

Mick Ferry 2 ended up winning the final, but I’m afraid to say that on this occasion Mick Ferry as a whole didn’t really win me round.
