Lucy Craig and Kate Roxburgh are two
British comedians who currently live in Los Angeles, but have
returned this side of the pond to participate in Fringe 2008.
These two Brits are introduced by American
compere Cynthia Levein who does the usual compere job of warming up
the audience and cracking jokes of her own.
Ms Craig was the first act and this has an
eclectic style with wide ranging material some of which is
hilarious. Subjects such as Louisiana Sex shops, messy eating,
tactless parents and anal medical examinations are subjects that she
got mileage out of.
Kate Roxburgh was next to the stage and
like he counterpart had a wide ranging material base. The oft used
boyfriend searching, Star Trek, space travel, George IV visit to
Edinburgh and a new development on implants are the gags I
particularly remember.
This was certainly an okay show. I’ve
seen a lot of comedy this Fringe and they were by no means the
worst, however I feel they could have been even better with a larger
audience.
