The
thing with Alpha Males is that they hold their dominance as long as
they are young, strong and intelligent. They constantly have to
assert and defend their position.
Although
this show is well written and performed most of it just didn’t hit
the spot for me. I just can't put my finger on what was missing or
how it could have been that little bit more special for me.
We
are taken through four differing aspects of the male psyche,
including the great white hunter, the failed rock star who refuses
to grow up, the sensual barman oozing sex appeal (or so he thinks)
all leading up to the penultimate man who is in his prime assured of
his supremacy but prone to challenge. Adam Riches would never have
been my sort of guy except in one of his guises but he does play
them all with ease, his control of his audience was on the whole
very masterful but......
Well
go and see the show to find out.
***
Well
the old adage that the show must go on proved only too true for Adam
as he broke his right leg on stage but only missed two or three
shows despite being in plaster.
