Zoe Lyons – Fight or Flight

I first became aware of Zoe Lyons a couple of years ago when she was part of The Monkey Butlers sketch group, then last year as 1/3 of AAA Stand Up, together with doing small roles in shows like Topping and Butch partly due to her looking similar to a certain ex-PM’s wife, and thought this lady has ‘it’, so was pleased to see that she was back this year doing a one woman show Fight or Flight.

Zoe opens the show talking about fears,  her own, her audience’s and others that she canvassed her friends for. She has a whole repertoire of stories mostly relating in on way or another to fear, the dark, Ryan Air, education, coming out, commitment, war, snakes and guns  are just some of the subjects that that Ms Lyons has material on, and also no pun intended, fuzzy felt!!

The crowd I saw had a front row comprising of 15 year olds with us more mature people sitting further back but she seemed to relate with all age groups and her set finished all too soon.

I’m sure she will be a major force in the very near future so take this opportunity to catch her show while you can.
