Shelley Cooper – Reality Cheque

It must have been four years ago that one4review first became aware of Shelley Cooper and Sheila struck up a rapport with her at once, and so hence has always grabbed the reviewing ticket ...... until now.

Shelley has elected to be part of the free Fringe this year and is playing in a tiny, packed room above a pub, hey isn't this what comedy should be about?

Her set is packed with material and she was gagging about such subjects as Brighton, recycling, Eurovision Song Contest, the Mona Lisa, Malta, and probably the most talked about subject this Fringe, carbon footprints.  But of course given the fact that she is a trans-sexual a reasonable amount of the material is about this within her set.

Shelley has a particularly quiet crowd in the night I attended; they seemed to be enjoying the set okay, just no laughing out loud too much.

I’m sure it won’t be too long before Shelley is back in one of the major venues so this could be you last chance to see her for free.
