It
seems ages ago that Sean Hughes won the Perrier Award and he has
not looked back ever since. As a writer, actor and Never Mind the
Buzzcocks team captain is is seldom been out of the public eye,
though it was the first time I had managed to see him live.
In
a packed out Debating Hall Hughes took to the stage to a resounding
welcome and in spite of having some really good and funny material,
seemed to struggle a little with a somewhat unresponsive midweek
crowd.
Hughes
seemed somewhat perplexed as to why his well crafted set was drawing
such a little impact, and blamed himself. Sean, you're wrong. The
material was fine, shame about the crowd, who I'm sure were enjoying
it, just doing so quietly.
So
there is a role for you, become a member of a more discerning
audience by getting your ticket while there are still some available.
