I have been an admirer of Sarah Kendall for
many years since coming across her by accident so this show was one
of the first on my list.
Sarah usually does each show based on
incidents within her life and telling them in her own inimitable
style, extracting humour from even the most unlikely situations at
times.
Sarah is adopting a similar principle this
year, but the format is radically different, previous years have
seen just her and a mike, but this time she is supported by two
talented comedians, Justin Edwards and Joanna Neary who play a
variety of characters in Sarah’s story.
The story this time centres on an incident
in Ms Kendall’s life in her early life at university. The trio
play their roles with relish, and are obviously enjoying the
experience almost as much as the packed audience. The show even
includes a basic dance number, something I never thought I’d ever
see in a show by this performer! I was sitting next to an Australian
girl in the show who was full of admiration for the observational
aspects of the show, and she, and I suspect everyone else would join
me in recommending a visit to this fun packed, good time show as soon
as possible.
