Four Wenches and a Free For All

Inventive and funny best sums up this rattling good sketch show. The four Wenches are Imogen Rands, Siobhan O’Hagan, Marie Allen and Jessica Holloway. Well over a dozen sketch routines and not a dud amongst them. They really nail the punch lines.

The mix of using all kinds of combinations from all four together down to the single monologue provides variety, along with elements of slapstick and observational comedy. Two of my favourite pieces are the pink dress sketch – “You like nice but …….” – and the monologue of the Hen Night organiser in Spain who claims she can speak both Manchester and Spanish fluently.

The show has a great title and its full significance becomes apparent when they perform their final sketch. A skilfully crafted and performed show.
