Leeds Tealights

The fast paced comedy show is a very crowded and competitive comedy zone. Leeds Tealights don’t rise above the ordinary. The material isn’t strong enough and many of the punch lines fall flat.

Despite the indifferent content, all the members of the cast perform strongly and with commitment. The sketches that work best are those that involve some singing where the cast reveal good powerful voices, notably the sketch in which Death appears wishing to perform in musicals. Perhaps a musical direction is one they might pursue.

There is talent here but this show does not make full use of their potential.
