Late night Fringe viewing is not always a good
end to the day, but ‘DJ Danny – Music Therapy’ virtually guarantees
you will leave the venue in a better frame of mind than when you
entered. Not surprising as the first thing he does in the show is play
depressing music and display sad photos.
Before you go upstairs in to the show you are
given a questionnaire with 7 parts. The final question is asking you to
tell them about a problem you would like them to help with. One problem
is chosen part way through the show and they make up a unique music disc
to help with the problem. If you are the lucky one you get to take this home.
It is a fairly technical show using two
computers, a projector and a CD player recorder, it occurred to me it
will be almost impossible to do if they have a technical failure.
By they I am referring to Danny Robins aka DJ
Danny or Mr Robins and Mr Walker head of music & RE, computer wiz
kid and booty shaking champ!
This show is very silly and one in which
audience participation is compulsory, no parental excuse note accepted
signed or not. It is also very clever on several levels musically,
visually and comedically but why the dislike of James Blunt?
