Andrew Maxwell - Round Twilight

Andrew Maxwell, The King of Comedy, is another off that endless conveyor belt that is Southern Ireland, but unlike his manic fellow countryman Jason Byrne, Maxwell is almost so laid back in his approach, he is almost horizontal.

That doesn't mean he is any less funny, his sell-out crowds will certainly testify to that, as he leads the audience through a range of observational humour, I can imagine the situations he describes as to drunks hanging off scaffolding in Nicholson Street Edinburgh, to his Middle Eastern trip to a covert gay disco and his experiences in an alley in South Africa.

He does like to throw in the odd political gag too, possibly explaining his Middle Eastern fan base.

For all it seemed that he had barely started, when it was time to close. The man's personality and his comic genius are already making this a hot ticket, so you had better be quick.
