 I first saw the Umbilical Brothers at
Best Of The Fest and was impressed, but wasn’t sure how their
performance would be carried over into an hour-long show.
I shouldn’t have wondered.
The show comprises of a stage, a
microphone, one piece of scenery, a roadie (dressed as a clown), a
sound tech, and a couple of guys with a lot of imagination.
It doesn’t sound like a lot, but believe me these guys
know how to put on a show.
Normally one is making sound effects
whilst the other performs various actions…it doesn’t sound
like a lot, but they have enough enthusiasm to pull it off, along
with the occasional action or noise that seems to have been put in
there to catch the other performer off guard.
It’s difficult to remember what
happened in the show, but the main thing I remember is laughing a
lot, and being impressed with the performers.
I’ll be looking out for these guys next
year, and they’ll be on my list of
“must-see” shows……put it on yours!
